Here's an easy way to gauge your rabbit's physical condition (and vets use this as well!):

A good visual guide for pet owners to gauge their rabbits' physical condition at home.

This chart is a good start and you can download a printable here

However, we still recommend monitoring your bunny’s body weight using a kitchen scale so that you can detect any drastic weight changes more accurately. If your bunny is fidgety, put her in a box then weigh her.

Why is it important to check your bunny’s weight regularly? Changes in weight from their healthy norm may be indicative of early illnesses e.g. if they are too thin or too fat.

If your rabbit is too fat, you may want to spend more time playing and engaging her. Check out our tips here for activity ideas! Consult our experienced team at Gaia Vets if you need more help and advice on caring for your furbaby. Call our Jalan Besar or Parksuites, Holland Grove Rd.
