There are times where your pocket pet may be unwell and your vet may recommend for you to do syringe-feeding. This applies to small herbivores such as rabbits, guinea pigs and chinchillas. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how you can do it:

*Tip: You can help your pet associate syringe-feeding with a positive experience by using a syringe to feed them treats, e.g. juices or fruit puree while they are still well. This is a good way to significantly reduce their stress levels when they fall ill and require food or medication via the syringe.
